SPI Series

The SPi Series from Spring Ink is a medium-gloss, general-purpose offset CMYK ink series specially formulated for big-size printing machines to ensure superior flow and ink transfer. Operating efficiently at medium and high speeds up to 8000 impressions per hour, this economical series features 5% lower pigmentation than CRT ink but still offers good rub resistance and gloss. Alongside CMYK, the range includes lemon yellow, deep yellow, bronze red, bronze blue, green, tint medium, opaque white, orange, and overprint varnish. It is highly suitable for box board and non-coated board, but must be used with care and is not recommended for bleach board or art paper, for which the Chrome std and Bestone series are preferred for quick set-off.

Optimized Transfer and Flow with the SPi Series

The SPi Series by Spring Ink is a specialized medium-gloss, general-purpose offset CMYK printing ink series. It is carefully formulated to meet the specific mechanical demands of large-format, big-size printing machines, providing enhanced ink flow and highly reliable ink transfer properties across the rollers. In addition to the standard CMYK process colors, the versatile SPi range expands into an extensive lineup of specialty colors and mixing bases, including lemon yellow, deep yellow, bronze red, bronze blue, green, tint medium, opaque white, orange, and overprint varnish.

This series performs smoothly across both medium and high-speed printing operations, showing optimal stability at 8000 impressions per hour. Positioned as an economical type within the product portfolio, it is designed with 5% lower pigmentation compared to the CRT ink line, yet it continues to deliver good rub resistance alongside highly satisfactory gloss effects. The SPi series is a great fit for printing on box board and non-coated board. However, it should be approached with care and is not recommended for direct use on premium substrates like bleach board and art paper. For jobs requiring rapid drying on those specific stocks, it is advised to utilize the Chrome std or Bestone series to guarantee a quick set-off.
